Four years ago I got tired of my 3rd 82-92 Camaro and decided to do something different.  Before buying my last Camaro I took a look at getting a Grand National.  While looking at Grand Nationals, I found out how easy it was to transplant the turbo V6 into other GM G-Body cars.  So I decided to find a G-body station wagon and transplant in the engine.  I actually found this Malibu wagon in Boston with the engine already installed, but the car was in way too rough of shape.  So, I spent the next 3 years working or having work done to the car.  Very, very little of the car is what it was when I got it.

The car is a 1982 Chevy Malibu station wagon with a full Grand National treatment.  The engine & drivetrain has been beefed up and worked over, and the suspension has been set-up for handling versus just straight line performance.

I would like to thank GM Master Technician, Aaron Wimbush who works out of Cooper Chevy in Berrien Springs for all of his immense help.  I'm sure that Aaron has the distinction of being the only GM Technician to call up a customer and demand that I fix the rear weatherstripping because he was tired of all the tire smoke creeping in around the tailgate.  I couldn't have done it without him.  I would also like to thank Adam Podell for the awesome flame job.
